Wireless Avionics is developing a system which integrates Video technologies together with Radar to provide the ulimate protection for critical infrastrucutre including: Airports, Seaports, Nuclear power plants, Dams, Oil tanker farms, Military bases, Industrial complex, Border zones, Isolated communities and more. Our system enables automatic and manual options for effective long range detection during day & night and in all weather conditions and provides for continuous visual coverage, as well as tracking (based on GPS technology) of suspect intruders. The VARS provides a comprehensive solution by enabling rapid installation and easy operation, with optimal performance/cost ratio. The system's effectivness is achieved by state-of-the art technological integration combining the detection system and signal processing of the Radar and video capabilities.

Operation Principle
The radar alarm signal sends, automatically, the camera to view the exact pinpoint of the alarm and enables the operator to monitor the object/event in real time, and track it if necessary. The video is equiped with VMD (Video Motion Detection) engine to provide automatic detection of the cameras which reduces false alarms. The system gives the user real time indication and orientation of the scanned and observed area, side by side with a video picture, on a panoramic digital map (shown on PC screen) which shows the complete protected area. The software makes operating the system simple and easy and cameras can be controlled via a joystick or mouse. By “pointing” on any location in the digital panoramic map (by the mouse), it automatically “sends” the camera to the exact required target or point of interest.
The system consists of three main sub-syatems:
1. Low-cost and simple to operate RADAR (self developed).
2. CCTV based module, of super-high accuracy compact Pan/Tilt rotator, unique miniature combination of long range day/night
cameras, computerized controller, long range illuminator (IR & white beam).
3. Control & Comand unit, based on strong PC with proprietary software packages, user friendly interface + PC screen for the
digital panoramic map area, and presentation of camera’s field of view (FOV). The software package enables the creation of
the panoramic map, independetaly, in each site.
* The Control Center unit can be connected to the RADAR and Cameras either by cable or wirelessely.
The system enables the following advantages and capabilities:

1. Automatic Scanning and Detection of human movements in large areas, day & night, in all weather conditions.
2. Outstanding high resolution and repeatability (0.05 deg.) Pan/Tilt/Zoom of camera system.
3. Day and night real time video observation, detection and identification.
4. Automatic "sending" of the camera to points detects by the Radar.
5. Operating radius of up to 1 Km.
6. Simultaneous pointing of observed area on site map or panoramic view. The operator sees the field of view (FOV) of the
camera, on the digital panoramic map at all times, to help with orientation and monitoring.
7. Realization of automatic RADAR and Video patrol, replacing human/vehicle patrol.
8. Scanning the area, in a ”replay" mode of the computer, of a previous manual scanning. (With unlimited length and
complexity, and with same time scale as recorded).
9. Automatic large areas observation and scanning. The operator marks the required area to be scanned, and the system
scans it systematically in detail.
10. Ability to "handshake" (work together) with different kind of field sensors (e.g. electronic fences, radar, GPS, IR detectors). 11. The camera “jumps” to the area of alarm, and starts scanning it automatically, for fast video monitoring upon intrusion.
