General Description
LA-400 is a sophisticated next generation wide-band jamming system, designed specifically to defend VIP cars. Such jammers are used by politicians, police EOD squads and others to defend against remotely detonated IEDs and/or more sophisticated roadside bombs. LA-400 was developed to respond to specific threats and its modular design is highly compact. Size is important, as the jammer can fit into the trunk of virtually any civilian vehicle. The LA-400 has proven to be highly reliable in the field.
System specifications are subject to customer's definition, and dealt with discretely on a per project basis.
The Jammer creates an "RF (Radio Frequency) protected cloud" around the car, that prevents remote controlled bomb activation by various RF means in its vicinity, with a sufficient jamming safety radius, to save lives and prevent serious injuries from attempts to remotely detonate a roadside bomb near the VIP vehicle.
Main Features:
* Blocks wide band Radio Frequency (RF) communications including but not limited to: cellular phones (all systems), VHF, UHF, hobby remote control, cordless phones,
Citizen band, ISM bands, WLAN, and others.
* Jams Radio Frequency (RF) transmission continuously up to 3000 MHz and more, with amplified "spots" for Cellular bands and all other popular frequencies. Bands and
spots can be turned on and off according to threat information and other requirements (necessary VIP communication systems for example).
* Powered by external batteries 24V, 100AH.
- Optional: mobile high current 12 to 24 converter charger as an alternative to 220v or 110v charging.
* RF transmitted by reasonable number of small antennas, covering the complete band.
* Boosters On / Off switches to enable easy operation and efficient maintenance.
* Operation of the system from the unit itself or from a wired remote control panel.
* Voltage / Current meter supports operation validation + maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Optional Wireless "Intercom" unit to enable communication with escort cars , even when jamming is completely On.
* Easy installation and integration in any civilian vehicle.
